About NKY Works
NKY Works is the continuation of a six-year, business-driven focus on workforce development. At its inception, businesses recognized that low unemployment, high workforce-participation rates, and essentially stagnant population growth could only be tackled through a collective approach. NKY Works operates throughout the entire regional labor shed. It provides a single point of contact for employers to find data, best practices, partners and resources that enable them to attract, grow, and retain talent.
Since its founding, NKY Works has engaged more than 75 businesses and community partners with about 200 individuals participating. NKY Works is led by a nine-member Executive Committee of regional growth organizations and local government leaders and advised by a 22-member Advisory Committee comprised of private-sector representatives and workforce partners.
