Focus On:

Employer Best Practices

Let’s face it. Today’s workplace changes rapidly and keeping up with the latest trends can be overwhelming. The Employer Best Practices Focus Area seeks to share data and information and highlight local experts to facilitate business excellence in workforce development.
They focus on these areas:

1. Elevating Employer Best Practices:

In a tight labor market, employers who stay current will have the most success.

Rather than recreating the proverbial wheel, partners share what’s working in talent attraction and retention. Sometimes this involves formal presentations, such as through the annual Workforce Best Practices Symposium of the Talent Strategies Spotlight, both of which are spearheaded by the NKY Chamber of Commerce. Sometimes, employers share their successes through tours, in small-group settings, or through a variety of workshops hosted throughout the year.

2. Productive, Inclusive Workplaces:

Employers are increasingly expanding their employee policies to ensure all workers can be successful.

Sometimes this requires thinking differently about long-standing operating procedures to accommodate new workers. This focus area supports employers as they consider opportunities to attract and retain employees.

3. Workforce Advocacy:

NKY Works encourages all employers to get involved to share their workforce experiences.

The Employer Best Practices Focus Area also seeks avenues to advocate for employers in addressing their workforce development challenges. The partners work together to elevate obstacles and encourage creative solutions to these problems. The unified voice of employers in Northern Kentucky can affect lasting change for the betterment of all.

The Employer Best Practices Focus Area is led by:
